Biography

Florence (Flo) Doo, MD MA, is an accomplished and board-certified diagnostic radiologist, whose multifaceted expertise spans clinical radiology, artificial intelligence (AI), informatics, and entrepreneurship. Her journey in the field began with graduation from the esteemed Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. She continued to excel during her diagnostic radiology residency at Mt Sinai West, where her exemplary performance earned her the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) recognition. Further enhancing her knowledge, she pursued dual fellowships—one in Body Imaging at Stanford University and another in Informatics with the esteemed American College of Radiology.

At the forefront of the evolving landscape of medical technology, Dr. Doo has emerged as a trailblazer in the integration of AI into clinical practice. Currently holding the esteemed position of Director of Innovation at the University of Maryland Medical Intelligent Imaging (UM2ii) Center, she exemplifies visionary leadership. Dr. Doo boasts a dual appointment as a distinguished physician-scientist, serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. Her contributions extend across medical education, clinical care, and grant-funded research, and she stands as the 2023 recipient of the esteemed Association for University Radiologists (AUR) General Electric (GE) Radiology Research Fellowship.
